Lighting & Flooring

The lighting and flooring can both make a real difference to the look and feel of your marquee and luckily we’ve got plenty of different options to suit each individual event.

We offer various options for your lighting, and can advise on which is best for your marquee, if you are unsure.

Festoon & Fairy lights
These go in the roof of the marquee and can be put on a dimmer for events that head into the evening.

Uplighters
These are placed around the perimeter of the marquee and provide ambience lighting for the evening time, when the lights in the roof are dimmed down.

These elegant pendant lights are 50cm in diameter and provide an elegant touch to your event.

These provide a wonderful focal point in your marquee and you can add your own touch to them with foliage, florals and themed decor.

Explore our flooring

We offer various options for your flooring and can advise on which is best for your marquee, if you are unsure.

Dandy Dura Matting
This is the modern version of coir/coconut matting. It sits on waterproof membrane and gives a beautifully natural feel to the marquee.

Carpet
You can choose to have either once-used (which will be either anthracite or dark green) or new carpet in a colour of your choice.

Carpet laid on Membrane
The most economical option, the carpet is nailed into the ground on top of the membrane. It keeps ground moisture from getting to the carpet but it doesn’t work so well on undulating and soft ground and cannot be used on concrete. We tend to advise customers not to choose membrane in the winter months.

Carpet laid on Event Floor
Event floor is a plastic, interlocking flooring that’s around 16mm in height. Event floor allows airflow to get to the grass beneath it so it’s a good option if you’d like to try and preserve the grass a little. It provides a firmer surface to walk on than membrane but it still follows the contours of the ground so doesn’t provide a completely flat surface.

Carpet laid on Wood Floor
Our wood flooring is made up of of 8′ x 2′ interlocking boards that sit on 1.5″ batons. Please note however, that it is not a level floor and will still follow the contours of the ground though not to the same extent as the event floor. Unfortunately our wood floor cannot be used without carpet on top.

Levelled cassette Flooring
With or without carpet. This is our premium flooring system that can level the ground out underneath the marquee, giving you a spirit level perfect, solid floor and a high end finish to your event.
